Many of you know that I am a member of a Gourmet Club with 11 other creative & talented women who also enjoy cooking. I love being a part of something that I am passionate about
2-making {and eating} delicious food.
You may recall seeing the pictures I posted about the Junky Bistro Gourmet I hosted with my friend, Nicole in February.

we now have a blog where you can see pictures of the delicious food, fun atmosphere, entertaining ideas & {best of all} get the recipes for yourself. My amazing friend Courtney took the pictures & put the blog all together. {Wish I had her talents :) }

Today :)

Today I:
Went to the gym & worked my arm muscles something fierce! WHEW!! I'm sure I'll be feeling it in the morning.
Had lunch with a few of my fabulous, intelligent, spiritual & creative friends. We had such a enjoyable time sitting outside in the shade, eating the yummiest pita bread & planning something fun in the Fall-yeah!
I got a fun present from my friend to add to one of my many collections. Isn't it the best when your friends know what you like & help your collections grow- thanks M!!
Realized what a great husband I have. He took the time to help me do a little something for H&H during his busy schedule today. Thanks Ty!!
Saw some cute jewelry on sale at AE that I wish I would have gotten so I didn't have to drive back there tomorrow :)
Checked something off my to-do list that has been on there for awhile - yeah!
Got a sweet little treat basket from my neighbor down the street. It was such a nice little thoughtful surprise to end the day, thanks D!
I ate a {huge} piece of Carrot Cake all by myself {don't judge me :) } It is a must when you go to Taggarts & I just love it! Plus, I worked out this morning right??
Today was a good day!

Jr. Honeybee in the making!

{Happy 12th Birthday!!}

This is Miss Mace my creative, fun, fantastic & cute daughter!!

Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday that I used to have to craft & work on projects while she would go down for a nap & NOW I have to take turns using my craft room with her :)

I love to see her be so creative!! She is super talented & loves to draw, paint & create. This is a cute notebook cover that she put together & a sampling of some cards she has been making. She always wants to be busy doing something- photography, designing wedding gowns {makes her 2 little sisters be the models} baking & decorating cupcakes or cakes, cutting flowers from our yard to make flower arrangements or singing. She is even off to a sewing camp next week! Can't wait to see what she makes.

-I guess I have someone to look forward too running H&H with someday-
Love you lots, Happy B-Day Mace!
{off to do some last minute birthday details & then make her Sour Cream Pound {Birthday} Cake topped with powdered sugar & berries. It's a tradition!}
Love, {M}om

As promised....

It's 3:04 a.m & I can't sleep so I might as well do something right??
I remembered that I never posted the pictures I received for the From My House to Yours Giveaway- so here you go!
{Thanks to everyone who entered, it was fun seeing some of my creations!
Some newer H&H designs & some vintage}

p.s. I know that there is probably a better way to show all these off but I don't know how to do it & it's 3:25 a.m so this is the best I can do :)

This little blue baby with the stars is a a ViNTage H&H for sure {circa 1998 maybe :) } I've come a long way, baby!

As you can see there is always something for everyone & every home. The entries came from as far away as Oklahoma & as close as my next door neighbor. I loved seeing everything displayed in your own homes & was very impressed! It has inspired me to keep creating & making things that you would like to have in your homes & as always each is unique & one of a kind {no two things look exactly alike- H&H's motto!}
Now off to try & catch some ZzzzzZz {wish me luck}

Glorious! {Weekend}

Oh, where to begin!
This past weekend was one of those perfect Summer eventful weekends that you can only dream about. I have been looking forward to this weekend for some time now & getting to celebrate it with family, friends & these 2 amazing girls. So proud of them!
Audrey & Emily were baptized on Saturday afternoon. It was wonderful! I had so much fun preparing all the little details for their big day, making invitations, memory books filled with letters from Grandparents, Great Grandmas, Ty & I & lots of sweet photos of the 2 of them, decorations to put up in the house & making lovely little cupcake toppers.
All themed in red, white & blue of coarse!

I had this little clipboards out for everyone to sign their names on who had come to their baptism. I wanted A&E to remember all the family & friends that were there to support them that day. These will go into their memory books too.

I put my vintage thermos collection to use again! {I'm so glad we started to collect these} I just love how these look filled with flowers, really retro & Summery.

Later that day we had a BBQ & an aMaZiNG firework show with friends that night {Thanks M&N} Sitting down for dinner I had the nicest thing said to me by a friend, of a friend, who was visiting from NYC this week. They had both thrown a picnic bridal shower for her sister, in SLC 2 days before, & borrowed some thermos, cooler & a couple of benches from me for the event. She asked me how much I charge? I laughed at that & told her nothing I just do a little designing & helping with events here & there. She told me that I need to start calling myself a Freelance Designer {a very NY thing, I think to say} but I so appreciated her thinking of me that way.
{Thanks A, it made my night!}

That evening was just perfect, the sky was the most gorgeous color at sunset, it took my breath away. The sky was lite up with the most amazing colors. It made me grateful to live in such a beautiful place, for the freedoms I enjoy & proud to be an American. It was fun to be outside on the cool grass sitting on blankets, eating Swedish fish, Popsicles, popcorn & Ice Cream sandwiches& just simply enjoying a Summer evening with friends.
The sky was later lite up with lots of red, greens, blues & silvers - it was a great show!

On Monday we drove up to my beloved hometown & celebrated the 4th {5th} of July with my family. There's nothing like watching the American flag come down the street, bands playing & salt water taffy flying at you by the fist fulls to make me love this Holiday! Then off to my parent's house for the party of all parties. {My Mom prepares for this party ALL YEAR long!}
Yummy food, water fights, Aunts, Uncles, cousins & lots of laughter. I LOVE my Family!!
To make it even better my kids have been terrific! Happy to be together, enjoying playing together & helping around the house when asked.
{keeping my fingers crossed that this will last & counting my blessings!}

I think we all really appreciated this weekend & the blessings that we have all been given.

-One Quote I love & try to live by daily is-
{Develop an attitude of Gratitude}
so true & it makes all the difference in the world!

Hope you had a {Glorious} weekend too!
