12.4.12-
Well hello everyone!
I've missed not posting for awhile. I had the pleasure of going on a weekend away trip to North Carolina
{quickly becoming one of my favorite places!} with my hubby. He had business there all week & I joined him later on in the week.
Anyone out there from the great state of North Carolina?
{if so I would love to hear from you. Tell me where your favorite spots are to visit & shop}
For the past couple of years I've been able to welcome in the Holiday season among the pine trees in that beautiful state. Really, I'm always amazed at how beautiful it is.
Last year we were here & this year we were able to be in Pinehurst. Love exploring new areas of the state every time we get to travel there.
We stayed at the beautiful Carolina Hotel at Pinehurst.
{Loved the Santa sleigh on top of the roof. He will be here before we know it}
We took a stroll into the village, I took along my camera & I'm glad I did. You never know when you are going to find inspiration.
{Caution: lots of photos ahead. Just too much to see!}
Thought this bright colorful wreath of ribbons, outside a shop door, was such a welcoming sight to the season ahead. Just jolly & fun!
The shop window all tied up ready for the season- cute idea!
Ok, thought this wreath into a Men's clothing store was just delightful. Love the simplicity of it- hmmm... I might have to raid the hubby's closet.
{Just kidding, Ty!}
-Love the door color too- |
This colorful display of bow ties caught my eye. I love color! Thought all the patterns, designs & vibrant colors were so fabulous to look at.
Ok, I just fell in love with this guy. Such a whimical bit of fun to the shop. Love things that are unexpected & just make you smile.
{My hubby really wanted the jacket he was wearing but it was the wrong size, shoot!}
Loved seeing Holly bushes & trees {yes, trees} everywhere around the village. It was such a holiday sight to see. Wish they would grow here that well- so pretty! Oh, & all the pine needles an the ground. So strange not to see grass around homes but just all the piles & piles of long pine needles. You know you are somewhere unique when you see that. The pine trees are amazing by the way!
How charming is that? An adorned old screen door leaned up against a garage. Everywhere in No. Carolina there were wreaths hung up. I mean EVERYWHERE. Loved it!
Saw this little display of birds nibbling up gold flakes at a furniture store. Made me think of one of my favorite songs- Feed the Birds, topens a bag!
{Oh, Mary Poppins I simply adore you}
Ok, my pictures are being a bit weird loading up. So I'll be back to share pictures of where we went next after exploring the village at Pinehurst. So excited to share with you what made my heart skip a beat when I saw them.
{still so excited about them!!}
-stay tuned-
