A week of THaNKS!

4.16.12- 

  Oh, what a fun week I have ahead of me to be a part of.  You might know that I have been serving as the PTSO Pres. at my daughter's Middle School for 2 years now  

{almost finished- a little excited & a bit sad} 

& this week is Teacher Appreciation Week & BoY, do we throw a party for those teachers.  It's such a great thing to be a part of!  Maybe it's a bit of me having a teaching background & knows what all goes into teaching that makes me really want to give a humongous SHouT-ouT to them for what they do each & every day.  

Luckily, I have one of my besties, Erika, 

{as my partner in crime}

 in charge of this week who believes the same as I do & the rest of my amazing PTSO board.  It's so fun to just totally shower the whole administration, staff & faculty with love & praise the whole week long. 

So I thought it would be fun to share some of the delightful things that will be going on through out the week. 

Here is a quick peek inside the Teacher's Lounge today... 

Banners hanging in the windows, balloons, chalkboards & frame marquees galore fill up the middle of the table. 

{My favorite thing is the Frame Marquee... that saying makes me giggle! It was fun hearing the teachers chuckle too} 

HeLLO.... a soda fountain are you kidding me?!  

They are were loving it at their lunch break

Yummy Cookies of all varieties around the table for the teachers to munch on during the day.  

{All displayed on levels of coarse.... Entertaining 101!

Fun using old dictionaries & cake stands of all shapes & styles to stack stuff up on} 

-Nothing like a little positive {& a choc. chip cookie} to get you through the day!- 

Then we went out & decked the hallways with big banners & put up this fantastic poster in the commons area.  I'm sure we can all think of a teacher that really had an impact & made a difference in our lives.  

That's not all..... this afternoon all the teachers are invited {along with their families} to a movie theatre to watch the 

Big Miracle & enjoy a FRee bag of PoPcorn & a drink. Yep- we rented out the whole movie theatre for them to enjoy. 

So Fun! Can't wait to go down & help serve them their snacks & enjoy the movie with my 3 girls too.  

Love this week & love the feeling of whenever you feel gratitude overflowing- it's an amazing thing to feel & be a part of.  Who can you THaNK today?

Weekend wrap up

Stopped by Piper & Chloe on Friday to get a quick snapshot with all the Piper & Chloe girls that make it all happen.  {Aren't they all adorable!}  

Thanks girls for inviting H&H to come to the show & for being so fabulous to work with.

Hope you were able to go & check out the show.  I just had a grab me some handmade soap from Beehive Soaps

{just because I loved the name & it all smelled heavenly!} 

& some Carmel chocolate pretzels for my Schmoopie & I to enjoy on the way home.  

We went down to the City for the day to explore the new City Creek Shopping Center a bit.  Which is amazing by the way & this was my favorite store there. I knew I loved it before but after seeing it in it's new element- a.maz.ing, even better!  Have you seen it yet?  

-What an incredible store- step into it & all of the sudden you're taken to a entirely different place. I kept telling my husband it's like we're in a completely hidden underworld or something-

Saturday morning I went & watched my #2 play her 1st soccer game of the season & she scored 4 goals! Wow, way to go Audji!  It was a fun game & I was glad it wasn't raining or snowing either- that's always no fun. 

 Then my 3 sisters came up for a visit in the afternoon & we laughed, did some Zumba dances, chatted & they helped me finish a project I was working on.  

{I'll tell you more about it tomorrow} 

They even stuck around to help make dinner w/ Miss Mace while I went down, with one of my sisters help, to pack up P&C - thanks A, B & V for the fun day. 

And look what I got to come home with from the 

Whimsy Cupcake Girls- Yum-E!  

{My family was so excited! I'm glad my sisters were here too so I didn't have to eat them all myself} 

-look they even made sure there was PLeNTY of my favorite choc. blue coconut ones- so nice!- 

Now it's Sunday.. I love Sunday's don't you?  I enjoy being with my family, going to church & surrounded by friends & neighbors & then always a Sunday afternoon or evening walk around the neighborhood. 

{Hoping it will be warm enough to do that today}

  My new favorite ring!

{I'm calling it my Super Bowl Ring because it reminds me of the size that the Champions get when they win - BiG}

You know me- I love a new blingy ring & this fits the bill!  How cute is it?  I love that it's made out of wood too- so unique & fun it reminds me of a segment I did on Studio 5 last month when I talked about mixing textures & styles 
{some glitzy bling, brass accents, a polished stone matched with a coarser texture like wood- I'm telling you, the combination always works!} 

Even better this ring was on SaLE- even more fun to shop!

Thanks to Miss Mace for helping me set up & to the Whimsy Cupcake sisters for the yummy{my absolute FAVORITE} cupcake they gave me.  

{if you have never had their chocolate cupcake with blue coconut frosting- you MuST!! } 

They were so sweet to bring some yumminess to share with everyone.  It was also fun to see all the P&C sisters again & some other vendor friends- love meeting up with fabulous friends now & again! 

And look what welcomed all the vendors at the door- nice! 

{it was pouring rain & lots of puddles outside the door} 

Here are a couple of quick peeks at what you will see there from H&H.  

{If you have anyone turning 8 soon these big wooden numbers are a fabulous photo prop or just something fun to put up in their room as a reminder of their special year. It's great to be 8!} 

Lots of smaller 4x6 & 5x7 frames in a variety of colors & patterned paper.  Perfect to put anywhere around your home- there's always a place that needs a little something, right? 

Big 8x10 stripe-y frames would go perfect with a patterned paper frame or a great solid colored frame- so many possibilities!!  Remember..... if you see a frame you like but what it a different color to match your decor H&H takes special orders.... just email me.

Another great color combo- greys, turquoise & yellows, so fabulous! 

As I was setting up my display I fell in love with this colorful drawerful of goodness.  I think all the different styles, colors & patterns go so great together.  Reds, corals, greens & the perfect shade of springtime blue- so lovely together! 

Hope you are planning on taking a trip to Piper & Chloe the next couple of days.  The hours are tomorrow {Friday} 10- 7 & then the next day {Saturday} 10-5.

So excited to have this showcase back in the Wasatch Front, it went away for a year but it's back & I'm sure

{knowing the sisters who run the show}  

it will be better than ever!!  

I've been busy making some new frames to take 

{colorful stripey-s, fabulous flourish frames  & some vintage H&H styled frames as well} 

something for everyone I'm sure!  Can't wait to see what all the other fabulous vendors bring to the show too. 

Are you coming?? I hope so! Tell all your friends & head on down to the BiG City to do some shopping sometime over the next couple of days.

4.10.12- 

  I'm kind of at a loss for words lately... I think doing 27 posts in March took it all out of me for a bit. 

{Don't worry I'm sure I'll think of something to say before long} 

In the mean time I'll share some creative writing that I found on my driveway yesterday thanks to M, A&E.  I loved that they shared some of their favorite quotes.  I enjoyed reading them on my way out one night to walk Mr. Olly, they made me stop & think for a bit & smile.  

Definitely something to think about.
